Woodgate Beach

4wding fun along the beach at Woodgate, Dude hanging out the window soaking up the sea breeze and a wine 🍷 beer 🍺 and snacks on the beach as Chalky throws out a line 🎣. Can’t get better than that.

Just 3 hours North of Brisbane Woodgate Beach has so much to offer in such a small space. Surrounded by Kinkuna National Park and 13 km of clean sandy beach it’s a piece of Paradise.

We discovered this place 22 years ago and in that time not a lot has changed, a few more modern homes but that’s about it. I never get tired of it and I love the fact the dogs can play here as well. There is 2 leash free areas of beach 🏖 to the north and south and the rest is still ok but leashes have to be on.

Woodgate is protected by Fraser Island so it doesn’t have the huge waves, not good for surfers but it is ideal for children and families. Accomodation - There is homes for letting as well as 2 caravan parks, one along the Esplanade and the other is conveniently situated behind the Pub & boat ramp. The bush camp grounds are within the National Park so no dogs allowed.

If your heading past Childers take the time to head East and visit Woodgate Beach, you won’t be disappointed
